Elizabeth are your tanks exposed to able to install it? If so, it is a REALLY easy job and if you choose to go with a 12V/120V model you can just use the 120V side and plug right in when you want to use them. You'll also need to trace out the water lines to ensure that none of them (at least the ones going to the toilet) are in nasty freeze prone areas. Or you can just use flush water and leave the system winterized.

I would like to use our black water tank when camping in colder weather (I am making payments on the bathroom 12 months of the year, I would like to use it 12 months of the year).

On ebay they are a decent price. Retail pricing is right off the wall!

Yes, they are completely exposed.

GoingKZ has a picture of them (sort of). http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2231965260082848560UDwSxs

If it's easy then it might be something we will think about doing.

It's easy, you literally peel off the membrane from the pad and stick it to the clean underside of the tank. Once it's on, it''s on! They can not be removed from the tank without destroying the pad, it's a permanent installation. After that it's just a matter of wiring her up, which you have a few friends to help you with and your done ;)

I was thinking trailer swarming, but I didn't want to say it just in case it got all your creative juices running again. My little heart can't take all the images of what you would do to my pretty little trailer.

Since I just got an email from Mark asking if Valen's was open over the holidays (and I sadly had to reply NO) it looks like we may just be taking off during the holidays like I was hoping/wishing/praying we would. I might just look into getting one of these things in the next few days.

No swarming required for a tank heater install. Mark could easily handle it himself.

1. Crawl under (in your case since your rig is so high that is an easy task ).
2. Clean tank.
3. Peel back off of tank heater and press it onto the tank.
4. Temporarily tie up the 120V cord.

When you arrive at the CG, plug in the 120V. In the spring when it warms up you can always run the wires to a permanent home in the rig. Easy.

You could see that she had a galley tank by the pic you took, clearly see the 2 dump valves on the grey side. Totally easy install.
